Privacy Policy

Last updated · June 24, 2026

This policy explains what information DialTone collects when you call a restaurant that uses our service, interact with us by SMS, place an order online or through a kiosk, or visit this website. DialTone is an AI-powered phone ordering, reservation, and messaging service used by independent restaurants.

01 What we collect

02 How we use it

03 Service providers and Data Sharing

DialTone relies on a trusted tier of third-party infrastructure sub-processors to operate (including Supabase, Telnyx, Vapi, ElevenLabs, OpenAI, Stripe, Sentry, and Cloudflare). We only share information with these providers as strictly necessary to deliver our services.

03.a  SMS Consent and Mobile Data Protection (10DLC Compliance)

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone numbers or SMS consent data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

04 SMS messaging (Opt-In & Opt-Out)

If you interact with a restaurant powered by DialTone, you may receive SMS messages based on your interaction type and explicit consent:

Opt-Out: You can opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any text message received from our system. Reply HELP for assistance. Please note that opting out of transactional SMS will prevent us from sending you text-based payment links or digital receipts for your phone orders.

05 Data retention

Order and reservation records are retained for the restaurant's business records and regulatory purposes, typically for several years. Voice call transcripts and recordings are retained short-term (days to weeks) for platform optimization and quality control, then deleted.

06 Your rights

You can ask us to confirm what information we hold that is associated with your phone number, to correct it if it's wrong, or to request deletion (subject to the restaurant's own legal record-keeping obligations). Email hello@dialtone.menu with your request.

07 Children

DialTone is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

08 Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of our services or interaction with our platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
